In this fast pace two hour training, participants will learn about microaggressions, terminology, and key issues that impact the LGBT+ community. Participants will have the opportunity to sign an allies pledge and receive an ally sticker. Registration is required to receive the zoom link.

Join us for "Life of a Latinx Leader," a monthly event featuring informal talks by exceptional Latinx leaders. This month, Evelyn Porras, a teacher at Logan High School, will share their story about facing a traumatic injury, personal losses, and language barriers. 4th Annual Indigenous Knowledge Symposium

Join us for the 4th Annual Indigenous Knowledge Symposium. This year our topic is food sovereignty. Our speakers are Rose Bear Don't Walk, a doctoral student in Indigenous & Rural Health, Montana State University and Dr. Valarie Blue Bird Jernigan, Director of the Center for Indigenous Health and Policy, Oklahoma State University. In collaboration with several campus and community partners, USU’s Division of DEI is proud to present, USU’s 2nd Annual Jewish Inclusion Seminar Series, scheduled for March 25-27, 2024. USU’s 2024 Jewish Inclusion Seminar Series is titled: A Diverse Picture: Jewish Voices, Images, & Experiences. A Diverse Picture: Jewish Voices, Images, & Experiences will present a diverse array of Jewish voices, experiences, and backgrounds. Among the voices and experiences that are confirmed to present at this the event are: 1) leaders from the Utah Jewish community on topics of Jewish women, Jewish education, and Jewish cultural events; and 2) lecturers and filmmakers covering a range of Jewish experiences and backgrounds, including voices and experiences from the Ethiopian, Iranian, and Moroccan Jewish communities, and topics ranging from art and culture to trauma and the Jewish experience.

Trans Allies on Campus Training

Workshop/Training

Trans/Nonbinary Allies on Campus aims to increase awareness and understanding of our trans/nonbinary community and further understand specific trans/nonbinary issues while training participants to stand with, and advocate for trans/nonbinary individuals. Participants will gain a basic understanding of sex, sexuality, and gender and how these concepts perpetuate microaggressions, discrimination policies, and daily biases. Prepare to dispel some common myths, laugh, and leave with the understanding that there is much work to be done in our community and you are part of the solution.
