In this workshop we will go over how to 1) get rid of extra content and simplify navigation, 2) get rid of broken links and make sure your content is published, 3) embed and caption your videos to make them more usable for everyone, and 4) provide content in user-friendly formats that work well on mobile devices.

CIDI Workshop - AI in Teaching: Basics

Workshop/Training

In this workshop, we discuss the basics of generative AI tools, such as ChatGPT, as they pertain to higher education. Specifically, we'll seek to address what they are capable of and the various ways teachers can choose to approach them in their classes. We'll discuss syllabus language, AI detection tools, and ways to encourage students to think critically, use AI responsibly, and demonstrate their own capabilities. We'll also share some ideas and examples of AI as a teaching tool.

USU linguistics students who communicate in ASL, Spanish, Turkish, French, and Arabic will teach visitors a little about their languages and cultures and help lead a card-making activity.
