Progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) is one way to relieve or reduce aches and pains that come up from stress and muscle tension. In this workshop, you will experience PMR and learn how to use it in your every day life. This workshop will also guide you through creating a wellness plan that will outline specific steps you can take to reduce stress and improve quality of life. The wellness plan will focus on several dimensions in life including: sleep, nutrition, academic, relationships and more.

Have you taken a GIS class before and want to apply the concepts you learned to R? Have you never taken a GIS class at all? Then this workshop is for you! In this workshop we will cover the basics of GIS in R, how to load, manipulate, and save vector and raster data, and how to perform any quantitative calculation and analysis on spatial data in R.

Women in Welding Workshop

NOTE: This workshop is now full. We will be offering more workshops soon!

Over the course of four sessions, participants will learn how to set up
a welder for GMAW/FCAW, apply basic troubleshooting techniques,
use basic shop tools and machinery, and will be introduced to
entry-level fabrication techniques. Students will complete a small
project by the end of the course to take home with them.
We are excited to educate and support women in the trades, and hope
you will join us for lots of fun and real-world learning!
