Seminar by Dr. Lori Hunter: Environmental Dimensions of Human Migration

Lecture/Readings

Dr. Lori Hunter, Professor and Director of the Population Program at the Institute of Behavioral Science at the University of Colorado Boulder, will present a seminar on the Environmental Dimensions of Human Migration. Dr. Hunter’s research focuses on human-environment interactions, with specific examinations of migration and climate change connections, particularly in the context of natural resource-dependent rural livelihoods across the globe. This seminar is sponsored by the Community and Natural Resource Institute (CANRI), the Yun Kim Population Research Lab, the Mountain West Center for Regional Studies, and the Tanner Talks Committee. CHaSS Road Trip: Space Dynamics Lab

Panel Discussion/Presentation

Come on a CHaSS Road Trip down to the Space Dynamics Laboratory on November 16th to meet CHaSS alumni and current SDL employees to find out how! From English to Political Science to Sociology majors, CHaSS graduates have found a place at Space Dynamics Laboratory. Join alumni Jason Lambert (English 1996), Maria Tena (Sociology & Anthropology 2012), Audrey Kandler (Political Science 2011), Emily Batig (English 2001), and Stevie Graham (Political Science 2019) for a tour of the Space Dynamics Laboratory, followed by conversation about how their CHaSS degrees have been beneficial to their careers.
