In this two hour training, participants learn about key terminology, microaggressions, state laws, and other key topics that impact the LGBT+ community. Participants have the opportunity to take a commitment pledge and receive an allies sticker. Mind-Brain-Body: Addressing Burnout in your Busy Lives

This one-hour workshop will focus on learning about the warning signs and antidotes to burnout, focusing specifically on learning more about work/life balance and developing easy stress reduction strategies. Chamber Music Society of Logan: Imani Winds
Arts/Entertainment
Celebrating over two decades of music making, the twice Grammy nominated Imani Winds has led both a revolution and evolution of the wind quintet through their dynamic playing, adventurous programming, imaginative collaborations and outreach endeavors that have inspired audiences of all ages and backgrounds. The ensemble’s playlist embraces traditional chamber music repertoire, and as a 21st century group, Imani Winds is devoutly committed to expanding the wind quintet repertoire by commissioning music from new voices that reflect historical events and the times in which we currently live. Present and future season performances include a Jessie Montgomery composition inspired by her great-grandfather’s migration from the American south to the north, as well as socially conscious music by Andy Akiho, designed to be performed both on the concert stage and in front of immigrant detention centers throughout the country. Imani Winds regularly performs in prominent international concert venues, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, Walt Disney Hall and the Kimmel Center. Their touring schedule has taken them throughout the Asian continent, Brazil, Australia.

One way is to develop new spending and savings habits so we can maximize our income and minimize our expenses. Join Vincenza for this engaging workshop to learn about what practical strategies we can implement during times of high inflation to achieve all our financial goals. This one-hour workshop is for women of all ages and backgrounds who want help increasing their financial wellness in 2022!

Start of POW/MIA 24-hr Vigil
Special Event
USU AFROTC Detachment 860 will host a 24-hour vigil with uniformed guards honoring America’s prisoners of war (POW) and those soldiers still considered missing in action (MIA) in observance of Veterans Day. To start this vigil, an AFROTC cadet Honor Guard will post the colors on the Quad in front of a cadet formation. Spectators may observe the start of the vigil, and any portion, during the 24-hour period (5pm, 10 Nov, to 5pm, 11 Nov). POW and MIA service members are honored on Veterans Day, not Memorial Day, because they have not yet been officially declared Killed in Action.

Wilderness First Responder Recertification - 11/11 - 11/13 This course is designed to refresh a current WFR or WAFA with new updates in wilderness medicine assessments and treatments based on best practices and new research, as well as updated industry-standard protocols. This course prioritizes the review of foundational skills, new skills, and field guidelines through hands-on scenarios, and simulations. American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Blended Learning course helps participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies. This patriotic musical tribute honors Armed Forces Veterans’ courage and sacrifice. Our 2022 guest speaker is Jennie Taylor, widow of Major Brent R. Taylor, North Ogden Mayor and Utah Army National Guard officer who lost his life while serving in Afghanistan. Ages 8+
