Healthy Boundaries

Workshop/Training

Boundaries are the line between where we end and another person begins. It can be difficult to set and uphold our boundaries, and a lot of times this issue comes up in relationships. This workshop will explore mixed messaging around boundaries in society, what boundaries are and how to set them, and how to be genuinely you while in a relationship.

LGBT+ Support Group

Workshop/Training

LGBTQ+ Support Group is for students that identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and those that are questioning if they are a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Students are provided with the opportunity to get together in a safe environment where they can learn from, and support, each other. Each week, we will discuss important issues that LGBTQ+ individuals face with topics being chosen by those who wish to participate. This group will be co-facilitated by Jacob Cameron, a therapist from USU Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) and Erika-Danielle Lundström, the Gender and Sexuality Coordinator at the Inclusion Center. Body Liberation Support Group

Workshop/Training

This group is an opportunity to discuss and support one another within the complicated and varied issues surrounding body liberation, with an emphasis on Body Justice and Fat Liberation, to illuminate the truth and move past societal/cultural messaging in an effort to liberate each individual participant. This group will provide: A safe space to explore societal impacts on group members’ relationship with their bodies, self-image, and health. A safe space to share individual and collective experiences of living in this society; including workplace, dating, family of origin, social media, health systems, etc. A safe space to authentically connect with others around experiences, thoughts, and feelings of living in a thin-obsessed, fat-phobic culture. Resources and information to learn more about the concepts of Body Justice, Fat Liberation, Health At Every Size, etc. This group is open to students, faculty, and staff. Registration is required for all participants.

Lunch & Learn: Aetna - Fighting the Stigma of Mental Illness

Mental illness is a widespread problem, but stigma prevents a lot of people from seeking help. Join Aetna, USU's Employee Assistance Program, for this special training where they will discuss what you can do to help fight the stigma of mental illness. We’ll review the definition of stigma, statistics of mental health issues, myths about mental health, and ways you can stamp out stigma. CIDI Workshop - Digital Badging Using Canvas Credentials (previously Badgr)

Digital badges are sometimes called microcredentials. They can be awarded to students for various accomplishments and then shared by students on social media and elsewhere as an indicator of their accomplishment or competence. Canvas has an integrated digital badging tool called Canvas Credentials (previously called Badgr). This workshop addresses how to create, award, and track digital badges.

CIDI Workshop - Exam Security in Canvas Without Proctorio

Workshop/Training

If you want to run a secure exam without using Proctorio, your options are to use a testing center or design your exam in a way that removes the benefits of trying to cheat. This can take some extra work and creativity, but often results in better exams overall. We'll discuss question design, timing, question banks, and the way the USU testing center network works.

Lunch & Learn - Disordered Eating and How to Heal Your Relationship with Food

Disordered eating is used to describe a range of irregular eating behaviors that may or may not warrant an eating disorder diagnosis. There are many consequences of disordered eating, some being very detrimental. This webinar will go more in depth about what disordered eating is and how you can start to heal your relationship with food so eating can be enjoyable again. CPR/AED & First Aid for Professional Rescuers

Workshop/Training

The primary purpose of the American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuers and First Aid course is to instruct those who have a duty to act (professional rescuers) in the knowledge and skills needed to respond appropriately to first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies. This includes the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) to care for a victim experiencing cardiac arrest. Register at recportal.usu.edu.
