Amanda Joy Peterson is a printmaking Master of Fine Arts of Fine Arts graduate student in the department of Art + Design. Amanda’s thesis exhibition, Extant, showcases print and mixed media work. Throughout their program, fine arts and design students work with their committee and other artists to develop advanced techniques, expand concepts, discuss critical issues, and emerge with a vision and direction for their own work. This exhibition showcases of years of dedicated refinement and mastery of skills, ideas, and perspectives.

The World Food Prize is known as the Nobel Prize for Food and Agriculture. It
is awarded for specific, exceptionally significant, individual achievements that
advance human development within the scope of the food system. Heidi Kühn
is a humanitarian and peace activist who has spent more than 25 years restoring agriculture in former conflict zones. She joins us to challenge USU students, faculty, and administrators to engage in the work of improving food security for all people. Her transformative "mines to vines" effort inspires and asks us to become personally engaged in feeding families to build peace.

UST The Tempest

Magic, secret identities, and conflict abound inn William Shakespeare's "The Tempest". Prospero uses magic to conjure a storm and torment the survivors of a shipwreck, including the King of Naples and Prospero’s treacherous brother, Antonio. Prospero’s slave, Caliban, plots to rid himself of his master, but is thwarted by Prospero’s spirit-servant Ariel.
