Inclusive Excellence Conference

Conference/Seminar | Diversity, equity, and Inclusion

The Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the College of Humanities & Social Sciences (CHaSS), and the Center for Intersectional Gender Studies & Research are excited to invite you to the upcoming Inclusive Excellence Conference at USU Eastern, scheduled for Thursday, April 11 from 9 am to 5 pm. This conference promises to be an enriching experience focused on fostering inclusivity in our academic community. Keynote speaker Pinqy Ring, a revolutionary rapper and Hip Hop educator, will be gracing us with her presence, offering insights and inspiration on the importance of inclusivity in education and beyond. Darren Perry, author, storyteller, and Shoshone Tribal Leader, will also be participating in one of the conference’s afternoon sessions. Throughout the day, there will be engaging sessions devoted to inclusive excellence in teaching, research, and academic programming. This is a unique opportunity to learn, collaborate, and contribute to making our campus environment more inclusive and supportive for all.

Cultural | Diversity, equity, and Inclusion

Join us for the "James & Alecia Porras Latinx Voices Series," a monthly event featuring informal talks by exceptional Latinx voices. This month, Tyson Petersen, Dentist, and Business Owner/CEO will share their story about how exploring cultural heritage can bring significant personal, academic, and professional benefits.
