Roosevelt Game Day

Join us on the Roosevelt campus for this FREE community event! We will be LIVE streaming the USU vs San Diego State basketball game in the Student Center. Change the Game: An Aggie Approach to Transform Conflict Into Conversation

Prof. Irshad Manji and Gov. Spencer Cox will join USU President Cantwell for the first President's Forum on Conflict and Conflict Resolution. They will startwa conversation about how the Utah State community can “disagree better” and learn to have productive and meaningful conversations across ideological divides. Following the conversation, Prof. Manji will deliver a keynote presentation. Prof. Manji is the founder of the award-winning Moral Courage Project, which equips schools and businesses worldwide to turn heated issues into healthy relationships and innovative teamwork.
Science Unwrapped: Waves, Force,Torque

Inquiring minds of all ages are invited to Science Unwrapped, the free, public outreach program of USU's College of Science. Featured speaker is USU industrial hygienist Carl Farley, who presents, "Waves, Force, Torque: The Science of Safety," as part of our "Building on Basics" series. Refreshments and hands-on learning activities follow the talk.
USU at The Leonardo: Sonic Booms

Supersonic Aircraft Noise Mitigation: The concept of commercial supersonic flight is an idea previously thought of as science fiction. A major hurdle in making it a reality is mitigating the sonic boom to be quiet enough to fly over residential areas.

Threads of Hope: CRIC x Aggie First Scholars

This Valentine's season, Aggie First Scholars is partnering with Cache Refugee and Immigration Center (CRIC:https://cacherefugees.org/) to provide blankets for the center's families. Join us at the Hub Moonlight Stage to tie 75 felt blankets for families. Beverages and snacks provided. Special thanks to the Aggie Chocolate Factory for sponsoring this event.

USU Rock-n-Fossil Day
Special Event
Calling Rockhounds of All Ages! USU Department of Geosciences hosts its annual Rock-n-Fossil Day, featuring a gathering learning fun about rocks, fossils and minerals. View demonstrations, learn about varied rocks and fossils, enjoy hands-on geological activities, tour the USU Geology Museum, dig for fossils, and bring your own "mystery" rocks and fossils for identification by USU geologists. Admission is free. The event is held in the historic Geology Building, located on the northeast corner of the USU Quad in Logan. Ride the zero-fare Cache Valley Transit District bus to campus, including the convenient Green Loop Route bus, which has a stop at the southeast corner of the USU Quad.
Drop-In Scan & Share Activity with the Local History Society

Want to preserve and share your history? Experts from the Utah Historical Society will help Carbon County seniors, adults, and young adults preserve and share their photos, letters, recipes, and other historical materials that represent their heritage. Participants will learn about their items, how to preserve them, and create digital copies that will become part of The Peoples of Utah Revisited online collection. Snacks provided.
Free screening of "UnCharitable" documentary

Join the USU Center for Community Engagement as we discuss the role of nonprofits and our expectations of charitable giving. Free snacks and a short discussion after the film! About "UnCharitable": After three of the most dynamic and successful US charities were shut down by conservative charity watchdogs, destroying lives and cutting off precious resources, many of the top influencers in the field knew something had to be done to overhaul the nonprofit sector. Led by Dan Pallotta, whose record-breaking TED Talk on the subject has inspired leading philanthropists and changemakers, this feature-length documentary directed by Stephen Gyllenhaal exposes the dark side of philanthropy and introduces a radical new way of giving. In a powerful call to action, UnCharitable demands that charities be freed from the traditional sackcloth-and-ashes constraints, so that they can truly change the world.
