News and Publications

Through USU Today or the Utah State magazine, our team is dedicated to promoting and delivering the stories and messages of the university.

USU Today

USU Today is the campus on-line and electronically distributed news source from the institution. It supports the university community by providing a convenient, one-stop information site. Its purpose is to inform the university community and others of important news events and special announcements. It also recognizes faculty, staff, and student accomplishments, with a mission to build a supportive, inclusive, and diverse campus, while fostering intellectual curiosity and liveliness.

Items ranging from the latest news, updates, and announcements are posted daily. All stories are then summarized in a weekly newsletter sent to subscribers throughout the academic year (bi-monthly during the summer months).

To submit an item for inclusion in USU Today, please send your story (including headline and body) to Maren Aller, editor, USU Today, at maren.aller@usu.edu. All submissions must include at least one digital image with a minimum size requirement of 800 (wide) by 600 (tall) pixels. A story will not be posted without an image.

Utah State magazine

Since 1995, Utah State magazine has spotlighted the people, research, and programming unique to Utah’s land-grant university. We feature stories that tackle big questions and introduce new ways of thinking about old problems. We also love a good human interest story!

The aim of Utah State magazine is to show the relevance of the research, teaching, and service at Utah State. Because the work happening on our campuses affects people whether or not they call themselves Aggies. Our faculty, students, and alumni of Utah State have diverse interests, but all seem to be motivated by one thing: Making a difference in their field and beyond.

The publication is produced by a small editorial team in the USU Office of Public Relations & Marketing. Utah State magazine is distributed three times a year to more than 80,000 households, including alumni, elected officials, donors, and friends of the university.
