The website is one of the university’s most important communication and marketing tools, particularly with prospective students. Web Communications provides vision and support for the design, development, and maintenance of usu.edu. Web communications works with other web managers and developers on campus to establish and maintain the quality and consistency of the USU web presence.

USU Web Templates

Web communications has developed a set of web templates that permits design flexibility while preserving key interface and institutional branding elements that complement USU’s web identity.

The USU web templates are available on the USU web server and on USU's content management system (CMS), OU Campus, managed by the IT Web and Design team.

Social Media

University Marketing & Communications provides guidelines and best practices for all official USU social media accounts. We also oversee a social media committee, policy, style guide, and visual identity program.

Utah State University encourages the use of social media to strategically engage students, colleagues, alumni, and other internal and external audiences. To this end, the office offers account "takeovers", a social media hub, a social media directory, and other opportunities for engagement and collaboration with university accounts.

The USU Assistant Director of Social Media is available for social media inquiries, questions, and consulting Monday-Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. You may also consult our social media guidelines.

Consulting, Policies, and USU Web Community

Web communications provides consulting services and assistance for those who build and maintain Utah State University websites. We are available for any questions you may have regarding your website, using the web templates, or any inquiries about USU's web presence.

We are also part of several committees including the Visual Identity committee and the Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) Accessibility Standards committee.
