Utah State's Mikaela Meyer Honored by Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference

Utah State senior Mikaela Meyer has been honored by the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference following her respective performance against No. 22 Boise State last weekend.

Meyer was tabbed the co-MRGC Vault Specialist of the Week for the third-consecutive week after she won the title with a 9.850 against then-No. 22 Boise State last weekend. It is the third time this year, and fifth time in her career, that the native of Meyersville, Md., has garnered a weekly accolade from the MRGC.

Overall, this is Utah State's sixth weekly accolade this season and the 50th honor in its sixth season in the league.

Meyer has captured the vault crown in the Aggies' last four meets. She has six vault titles in her career, which is tied for 10th all-time in school history.

Meyer currently ranks first in the MRGC and 21st in the nation with a vault average of 9.865. As a team, Utah State ranks second in the league and 24th nationally with an average of 48.870 on vault.

Utah State opens a four-meet road stretch when the Aggies travel to Cedar City, Utah, to take on No. 17 Southern Utah on Friday, Feb. 19, at 7 p.m.
