LOGAN, Utah – Two Utah State gymnasts were honored by the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference following their respective performances last weekend against Air Force.

Utah State sophomore Eve Jackson tallied a 9.900 on the uneven bars to finish first on the event in the Aggies' 194.950-191.975 home-opening victory against the Falcons last Friday at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. Jackson's score on the event was tops in the MRGC this week as she earned MRGC Bars Specialist of the Week honors.

Utah State freshman Brie Clark captured her second-straight MRGC Floor Specialist of the Week honor after finishing first on the event with a 9.950, which is tied for third all-time in school history. One of the judges even flashed a perfect 10 for the freshman from Daphne, Alabama.

Clark was also named the America First Credit Union USU Student-Athlete of the Week.

With Jackson leading the way, the Aggies set a season high of 49.175 on bars against Air Force, while they closed the meet strong on floor by scoring a 49.075.

Utah State is back in action on Friday, Jan. 21, when the Aggies return to the Spectrum to host Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference-rival Boise State. The dual meet is set to start at 7 p.m.
