Utah State University Celebrates Academic Success of its Student-Athletes
Aggies student-athletes have a cumulative 3.30 grade point average
Utah State Athletics is celebrating the academic success of its 366 student-athletes, as the group earned a combined 3.33 grade point average during the 2024 spring semester and have a cumulative 3.30 GPA. The spring semester also marked the 44th-consecutive term that USU student-athletes have recorded a 3.0 or higher cumulate GPA, dating back to the fall of 2002.
“Our top priority at Utah State University is to provide our student-athletes with the best resources and opportunities possible to become successful after graduation,” said USU Vice President and Director of Athletics Diana Sabau. “The commitment and dedication they apply to their academics is remarkable and I am inspired by their level of achievement.”
Just over 75 percent of Utah State student-athletes earned a 3.0 or higher GPA, and 54 student-athletes were named to the Dean's List for having at least a 3.5 or higher GPA with 15 or more credit hours. Eighteen student-athletes made up a select group of those pursuing a graduate degree or second undergraduate degree while competing in their respective sports.
On the women's side, USU student-athletes earned a spring semester GPA of 3.57 and carried an overall cumulative GPA of 3.56, tied for the second-highest cumulative GPA in school history. On the men's side, USU student-athletes earned a spring semester GPA of 3.10 and carried an overall cumulative GPA of 3.02.
