Utah State Track and Field Places Four in the Top-Five in Final Day of Competition at BYU

Ryan Griffith and Candice Workman lead the Aggies

Utah State's Ryan Griffith and Candice Workman both took second as the Aggies finished four days of competition at the Robison Track Invitational Saturday.

Griffith was the top collegiate finisher in the 5,000-meter run as he finished in second with a personal record time of 15:42.43. Workman, the top finisher for the women, placed second in the shot put with a distance of 45-10.00.

Also finishing in the top-five for the Aggies were Colin Veldman, who placed third with a personal best distance of 159-06.00, and Yance Fawcett, who took fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.17. Veldman and Fawcett also finished 10th in the hammer throw (132-09.00) and the 200-meter dash (21.99), respectively.

This week Utah State will return to Brigham Young to compete in the BYU Invitational, May 3-4.
