Utah State Profs Publish New Book about Online Education

Two professors in Utah State University’s Department of English have published a book dedicated to issues of teaching online classes. Assistant professor Kelli Cargile Cook and associate professor Keith Grant-Davie are co-editors of Online Education: Global Questions, Local Answers.

According to Cargile Cook, 24 educators focus on the most important questions for scholar-teachers and administrators involved with the development of online programs.

“We describe these questions as ‘global’ because they transcend the particular situations of individual institutions,” she said.

Grant-Davie notes that these are questions that everyone involved in online education needs to address.

“The issues range from the development of online programs to the roles and responsibilities of online educators,” he said.
