Utah State Concludes Busy Weekend by Notching Seven Top-Three Finishes at Robison Invite

Utah State hurdler Alexis Koetitz recorded one of the fastest times in school history in the women's 100-meter hurdles Saturday at the BYU-hosted Robison Invitational at the Clarence F. Robison Track and Field Complex.

The junior from South Willard, Utah, placed fifth in the event with a time of 14.08 seconds, which is three-tenths slower than her top-10 time in the event, as the Aggies concluded the four-day Robison Invitational.

Utah State recorded seven top-three finishes Saturday in Utah County, highlighted by senior Kyle Morris (17.38 meters/57-0.25) and freshman Gavin Beierle (17.33 meters/56-10.25) going 1-2 in the men's shot put.

Utah State's "A" squad consisting of junior Mikhail Kidd, junior Zack Bell, senior Nick Ashby and junior Skyler Andam placed third in the men's 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:16.66.

On the women's side, senior Karen Christensen (2:11.21) and sophomore Ali Bybee (2:12.15) placed second and third, respectively, in the 800 meters, while freshman Sidnee Naerebout claimed bronze in the triple jump (10.90 meters/35-9.25) and senior Maia Garren finished third in the shot put (15.49 meters/50-9.75).

The quartet of sophomore Josh Wintch, freshman Brennan Benson, sophomore Christopher Kauffman and junior Devin Pancake concluded the Aggies' stay at the Drake Relays by placing fifth with a time of 9:45.66 in the men's DMR on Saturday at Drake Stadium.

UP NEXT: Utah State returns to action next weekend when the Aggies take part in the West Coast Relays Thursday and Friday, April 29-30, at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif.
