USU Undergraduate Application Fee Waived for all Utah Residents
By Marcus Jensen |
LOGAN, Utah — The Utah Board of Higher Education voted unanimously on December 1 to eliminate application fees for all in-state undergraduate applicants to public colleges and universities in the state beginning in January 2024. Utah State University will no longer require in-state undergraduate applicants to pay a fee to send their application, effective immediately.
“We are so pleased with this announcement from the Utah Board of Higher Education,” said Katie Jo North, executive director of New Student Enrollment at USU. “As Utah’s land-grant university, our mission is to provide educational resources and access to all members of our state. This decision will remove another barrier and allow more students to apply for college.”
The fee waiver applies to all Utah residents, whether they are a first-time student, transferring or returning to school.
“If you have been waiting to apply, there has never been a better time,” North said. “USU can’t wait to review your application and get you started on your higher education path and becoming an Aggie.”
