USU-Uintah Basin Holds First Annual Perfect Swing Golf Tournament

Utah State University-Uintah Basin held its inaugural Perfect Swing for Scholarships Golf Tournament on Wednesday, August 30, 2017. The event was held at Dinaland Golf Course in Vernal, Utah. The goal of the event was to raise money for scholarships to help the region’s workforce and leaders earn their college degrees.

This year’s event raised over $10,000 dollars for the USU Advisory Board Community Scholarship. USU partnered with the Uintah County Economic Development Office and the Uintah County Commission to hold the tournament as part of the annual Uintah Basin Energy Summit. There were 23 teams in the 18-hole scramble, enjoying the perfect sunny weather and USU’s Famous Aggie Ice Cream.

“We think it is a great way for USU to support students attending our institution and stay connected with the local community and industries,” said Cameron Cuch, USU-Uintah Basin’s associate director and director of students. “These organizations are making an investment in the Uintah Basin’s future leaders and workforce.”
