USU to Host Next Step Nights for Utah Admitted Students

LOGAN, Utah — Utah State University is hosting various Next Step Nights events throughout the spring semester. These events will assist future Aggies and their parents/guardians in completing their next steps after they have been admitted to USU. They will be hosted at various locations throughout the state.

“Next Step Night will be a great way for future Aggies and their supporters to get questions answered and to know what they need to do next to attend any of USU’s campuses or statewide sites,” said Dallin Perkes, assistant director of recruitment operations. “We will be hosting Next Step Nights throughout the state to help students know what resources are available to them, such as how to apply for financial aid and housing. Students who attend the Next Step Nights can even start the USU orientation process by being at the event.”

At the event, students will be able to speak with financial coaches who can help with scholarship and FAFSA questions. These coaches will also share what resources are available and help students and their parents/guardians see that budgeting for college is affordable. College, department and program representatives will also be in attendance so students can learn more about majors offered at USU.

“Student success is a key focus that is central to our mission at Utah State University,” said Katie Jo North, vice president of strategic enrollment management. “We are bringing these sessions throughout the state so that our future students can get on track early and have all the information they need to get their collegiate experience started off right. Come join us and learn more about what USU has to offer.”

Registration is now open for the events. Check the schedule for the location nearest you and register online. Walk-ins are also welcome. Attendees will also be treated to Aggie ice cream and have a chance to win free USU gear.
