USU Tech Commercialization Hosting Intellectual Property Seminar

The Utah State University Technology Commercialization office and Stoel Rives, LLP are hosting a complimentary seminar “Strategies for Protecting and Sharing Your IP: Patents, Trademarks and Licensing.”

All faculty are invited to the seminar Thursday, March 19, from 3:30-5 p.m., in the auditorium in the SDL Calibration Optical Research Lab on the Innovation Campus, 489 E. 1650 North, North Logan.
 
Stoel Rives attorneys John R. Thompson, Michael E. Mangelson and Scott F. Young will provide attendees with information regarding the intricacies of patents, trademarks and licensing and how it can affect a business. Topics the trio will address include the definition of patent; specific guidelines, conditions and criteria for successful patents; how to avoid pitfalls when applying for patent; and what can be done to build, protect and maintain a trademark asset.
 
The seminar is free and parking is complimentary.
