USU President Cantwell Launches Podcast in Collaboration With Utah Public Radio

By Hannah Castro |

Since beginning her presidency at Utah State University, Elizabeth Cantwell has wanted to start a podcast. With the help and collaboration of a University Marketing and Communications team, Utah Public Radio, and currently enrolled students, "Future Casting With Utah State" is now available.

The purpose of the "Future Casting With Utah State" podcast ties perfectly with USU’s mission to envision the future and empower all people to lead successful lives of involvement, innovation and impact.

The podcast will explore our ever-changing world, technological breakthroughs, future planning, and proactive issues both now and for the years to come.

There will be monthly episodes with different featured guests, starting with University of Utah President Taylor Randall. Upcoming guests include Moral Courage founder Irshad Manji and Utah Women & Leadership Project Director Susan Madsen.

In the first episode, the two university presidents speak on how USU and the U can continue to serve Utah communities, deliver impactful research and foster a sense of belonging while facing challenges that are affecting higher education.

The collaboration with Utah Public Radio will extend the podcast’s reach, bringing more public awareness to the statewide impacts of Utah State’s research.

“UPR is thrilled to be collaborating with President Cantwell, and we look forward to the great things this podcast will bring for everyone involved,” said Tom Williams, UPR management and Access Utah host.

You can listen to "Future Casting With Utah State" on UPR.org or anywhere you get your podcasts.
