USU-Online Bachelor's Programs Ranked 14th Nationally
Utah State University-Online was recognized as having the 14th best online bachelor’s programs nationwide in 2017 by U.S. News & World Report, widely regarded as one of the preeminent college ranking systems. The selections were released today after a competitive screening process of over 300 universities.
“USU-Online has consistently placed in the top 20 online bachelor’s programs for the past few years,” said Robert Wagner, USU’s executive vice provost and dean for Academic and Instructional Services. “Our team has designed online coursework and built innovative tools that allow faculty and students to have an effective educational environment, providing similar benefits to those attending classes in person, but the flexibility of living anywhere in the world.”
According to U.S. News & World Report, ranking criteria were based upon: student engagement, faculty credentials, peer reputation, student services and technology. USU-Online continues to be the highest ranked university in the state for online course delivery. USU faculty who teach online courses continue to surpass the high standards set for the quality of content administered to students.
“An exemplary online education hinges on the ability of faculty to deliver engaging content to students spread throughout the world, and the technology used to deliver that content,” said Larry Smith, USU’s interim provost. “USU-Online has the best of both worlds – a highly trained and motivated faculty backed with the best technology.”
USU-Online offers seven online bachelor’s degrees such as communicative disorders & deaf education, economics and psychology. It also offers six online master’s degrees such as instructional technology & learning sciences and education, which ranked 66th for the 2017 best online graduate education programs. In addition to complete degree programs, USU–Online delivers over 350 online courses every semester to nearly 13,000 students in Utah and throughout the world.
