USU Extension Launches Sustainable Living Website

In response to the changing, difficult economic times facing many Utah residents, Utah State University Cooperative Extension has launched a new website, livewellutah.org, to provide information and help. The website is part of a sustainable living initiative developed by USU Extension faculty from around the state and is designed as a one-stop-shop of USU Extension programs for those working to get by on less.

Livewellutah.org is designed to help people get the information they need to make changes that will enhance their quality of life, said Marion Bentley, USU Extension community and economic development specialist and co-chair of the initiative.

“Experts from around the state have helped put Livewellutah.org together as a service to the citizens of Utah,” Bentley said. “There are tips on gardening, conserving home energy, healthy relationships and more. We hope Livewellutah.org has something for everyone, including kids.”

The site contains six content areas: food, home and family, gardening, energy conservation, finance and “just for kids.” Each content area contains fact sheets, tips and links to other sites that provide timely, pertinent information on the topic.
