USU Aggies to Host Winter Clothing Drive at Potato Bowl Tailgate Dec. 23

The Utah State University Alumni Association is partnering with Trivium Life Services to host a winter clothing drive at the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl All-Aggie Tailgate. New and gently used coats, sweaters, scarves, gloves and hats will be collected at the tailgate Saturday, Dec. 23, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Fan Fest area at Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho.

The winter clothing drive aims to provide warmth and comfort to families in need within the Boise area. Trivium, located in Boise, has a long history of empowering those with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, chronic mental illness and brain injuries toward independence through residential and day rehabilitation services.

“Utah State has a proud history of serving our local communities throughout Utah. This winter clothing drive allows our friends and alumni to continue that tradition by making a meaningful impact in Boise this holiday season,” said Kim Larson, executive director of the USU Alumni Association. “While coming together as Aggies to cheer our football team to victory, we’re pleased to be able to provide a layer of comfort and support to those who need assistance this time of year.”

Utah State’s fifth appearance in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl kicks off at 1:30 p.m. against Georgia State. Register for the All-Aggie tailgate to be entered into a drawing for Aggie stocking stuffer gifts. Cost is $30 for adults 13 years and older, and $15 for youth 12 years and under. An All-Aggie Pep Rally will be held Friday, Dec. 22, from 7-8 p.m. at the Basque Center. Registration is $5 for adults and children.
