USU Advisors, Faculty Invited to Aggie Math Learning Center Open Houses

Utah State University Academic Support Alliance members, advisors, faculty members and other staff are invited to attend open houses Wednesday, Aug. 17, and Thursday, Aug. 25, at the Aggie Math Learning Center. Each gathering will be from 9:30-11 a.m. at the center, located in Room 118 (ANSC 118) of the Animal Science Building on the USU Quad.

“As a new academic year starts, we invite staff and faculty involved in promoting student success to join us and learn about the many resources we offer,” says Randall Haws, learning specialist in USU’s Department of Mathematics and Statistics. “In addition to drop-in, in-person and virtual mathematics and statistics tutoring, the center offers recitations and other services to enhance student learning.”

Haws says mathematics and statistics contribute to the foundation of many different degree programs throughout the university.

“Aspiring Aggie scientists, engineers, medical professionals, managers and other scholars from varied disciplines need mathematical and statistical knowledge and skills to advance in their programs and to progress in their respective fields,” he says. “We’re here to help and support those efforts.”
