Unlocking Justice: USU Eastern Hosts 11th Annual Local Authors Night

USU Eastern will host its 11th Annual Local Authors Night at 6 p.m. Oct. 29 in the Central Instructional Building, Room 108. This year’s event will feature the author and collaborators of the compelling true-crime book “Through the Keyhole: Solving the Cold Case of Loretta Jones.”

The book tells the gripping story of Heidi, a 4-year-old girl who witnessed her mother's murder in 1970 through a keyhole. For decades, the case remained unsolved, but detective Sgt. David Brewer revisited the cold case, uncovering new evidence. “Through the Keyhole” highlights Heidi's relentless pursuit of justice and the detective's expertise in finally bringing her mother's killer to justice.

Attendees will hear from the authors, learn more about this captivating case and enjoy refreshments throughout the evening.
