Share Your Aggie Experience: Stories Sought from USU Alums

The Utah State University Alumni Association has partnered with Publishing Concepts (PCI) for an oral history project with the goal of gathering stories from alumni both young and older. The project, launched in November, aims to gather updated contact information, as well as personal experiences and anecdotes from USU alums.

The submissions will be requested from PCI via a series of emails and postcards through spring 2022. After calling in to a dedicated line, alumni can choose to update basic contact and employment information, as well as share experiences and memories. There is also an option to submit a photograph.

“This project allows us to hear about your personal experiences, while also explaining how USU shaped your lives,” said Kim Larson, executive director, USU Alumni Association. “Preserving our history is a vital component to the future of USU. We are excited about the wealth of information we will receive from this project so that we can keep our Aggie Family tradition alive. Your input is greatly appreciated and no memory is too small.”

Submissions for the oral history project will be compiled into a hard-bound, full-color coffee-table book available for purchase in fall 2022. Those wishing to opt out of the publication may do so, while still updating basic contact information. No purchase is necessary.

The university will receive all of the updated contact information, photos, transcripts and original audio recordings. There are no institutional fees or costs associated with the project.

Based in Dallas, Texas, PCI is sending all of the mailers and email messages, as well as handling the responses from their mail house and call center.
