Revitalizing the Aggie Experience: USUSA's Message in Support of Vaccinations

By Max Roberts |

The Utah State University Student Association (USUSA) released the following message to the student body regarding the university’s decision to require COVID-19 vaccinations for students:

As student leaders of the Utah State University Student Association, we fully support our university’s decision to require students to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Vaccines are safe and effective in protecting ourselves and our community – they are how we will win this fight against the virus and its variants. Vaccines are also the most practical, sustainable way to keep classes and activities in-person, an essential goal to post-pandemic recovery.

We care about you. Your health and wellbeing are central to the university’s decision and our endorsement of it. Like most of you, we want to see you face-to-face at all of the events and traditions that make the Aggie experience so exceptional. But, we cannot move forward from this pandemic without uniting as a student body – everyone must take individual responsibility and action.

We invite you to reach out to us and continue this discussion. Your student representatives are here to listen and advocate for you.

Ultimately, the decision is yours. We sincerely ask you to become fully vaccinated – choose to protect yourself and those around you and keep USU student life as vibrant as it can be.

Sincerely,

Lucas Stevens
USUSA President
