Recent Graduate Tamara Mumford Commended for Contributions to Utah State and the Community

Student Body President K. Duke Di Stefano and President Hall present a resolution of commendation to Tamara MumfordTamara Mumford, recent Utah State grad, has performed with the USU Opera Theater and the Utah Festival Opera Company Young Artists Program. She has been the recipient of many university and music department awards, as well as the Marie Eccles Caine Opera Outreach Scholarship for two years.

Along with her musical abilities, she has maintained a 3.65 grade point average and is a member of the National Dean's List. In between, she has devoted time to work with youth grops, the community and campus organizations.

"Ms. Mumford is a woman of outstanding moral character," said Will Kesling, a former professor at Utah State. "Her commitment to learning not only the academic subjects in preparation for a career in the music profession, but in carrying out her role of humanitarian in the community, is truly exemplary. She is an outstanding young woman in all regards."
