Outdoor Programs Offering Adventurous Fall Desert Trips

By Baily Kruzan |

Utah State University Outdoor Programs is offering a unique way for students to spend fall with three different upcoming desert trips. Trips are led by a trained student leader and are operated on a nonprofit basis.

“You should be on a trip with the Outdoor Programs this fall if you are looking to make connections with other students, spend time appreciating the natural world, learn something new, or just take a break from Logan,” trip leader and student manager Lucy Hankins said. “Outdoor Program trips always leave me feeling full of excitement for life and like I belong to a community.”

To register and learn more, students can visit recportal.usu.edu. Trips are made for beginners and experts alike, where students are welcome to bring their own gear or use provided gear from Outdoor Programs. Space is limited on trips, so be sure to get in while you can.

Other upcoming trips include a full moon hike at the end of October and a Lake Powell kayaking trip at the beginning of November.
