Open House at The Leonardo in SLC Marks New USU Partnership

All members of the Utah State University community are invited to a free open house at The Leonardo museum in Salt Lake City on Saturday, Nov. 4.

All members of the Utah State University community are invited to a free open house at The Leonardo museum in Salt Lake City on Saturday, Nov. 4.

The event marks a new partnership between USU’s College of Engineering and the downtown STEM and creativity museum. Earlier this year, the College of Engineering became the title sponsor and official education partner for FLIGHT, The Leonardo’s signature exhibit focused on aviation and aerospace engineering.

On Nov. 4, the museum will open its doors to all USU students, faculty, staff, alumni and their families with free general admission for the entire day. Free general admission includes access to FLIGHT and a new traveling exhibit exploring mental health called Mind Matters.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., patrons can enjoy free food, activities for kids and a short presentation by museum and USU officials.

Event Highlights

  • Free general admission all day Saturday, Nov. 4, for all USU students, faculty, staff, alumni and their families. Just mention your USU affiliation at the ticket counter.
  • From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., patrons can enjoy free food, special activities for kids, and a short presentation by Leonardo and USU officials beginning at noon.
  • Free transportation will be provided to USU students. Seating is limited. A charter bus will depart from campus at 9:05 a.m. and return to campus at approximately 3:45 p.m.. RSVP at usu.edu/leonardo.
