LOGAN — The Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art will host its monthly Community Art Day on Saturday, Nov. 12. This event happens the second Saturday of each month and differs in theme.

November’s theme is “birds” to celebrate fall migration of birds. Visitors can have fun finding feathered friends throughout the museum on Utah State University's Logan campus and discover different ways artists have incorporated birds into their artwork. After gaining inspiration from the birds at the museum, visitors can craft their own colorful bird sculptures.

“Community Art Day is held the second Saturday of every month and is a great opportunity for members of our Cache Valley community to visit NEHMA,” said Chiara Sorensen, assistant Coordinator of Learning & engagement. “Visitors can explore the artworks in our galleries, learn about the history of the art and the museum and engage their creativity with an exciting art making experience. We love seeing both new and familiar faces at Community Art Day.”

Admission is free and open to all. The museum offers free visitor parking in the lot behind the Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall. For public transportation, ride the Cache Valley Transit routes 1, 4, or the Green or Blue Loop and get off at the Fine Arts stop.
