New Utah Public Radio Program Holds Public Taping

"Like most people, I've always liked a well-written, well-read story," said Marina Hall, producer of Utah Public Radio's new program, Synecdoche. "So I decided to pair local authors with local actors for an hour of radio entertainment."

Synecdoche's debut program will be taped before a live audience at Chapter Two Books Sunday, Aug. 10, at 4:30 p.m., with a repeat taping at 7 p.m. The readings are free and open to the public, but seating is limited, so audience members should plan to arrive early.

"The audience responses become an integral part of the recorded program," Hall said.

The first program airs Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 8 p.m. on Utah Public Radio. (more)
