New Associate Vice President Named

Joyce Albrecht has been named the new associate vice president of
University Advancement. Vice President for University Advancement Randy Talbot said Albrecht is setting the structure for Utah State to move ahead with further development goals and was the most qualified person to lead this effort.

"She understands the mission of the university," Talbot said. "She was instrumental in setting up our gift processing and records unit."

For the past several years Albrecht has managed the day-to-day
operations of the development office. She said she is excited about her new managementresponsibilities as the university gears up for a future campaign.

"I look forward to working more closely with the college deans,
development directors and unit directors to advance their development priorities,"
she said.

Albrecht has spent her entire career in higher education. She worked for
her alma mater, Brigham Young University, for nearly 25 years. Before coming
to Utah State University five years ago, Albrecht was the major gifts prospect manager and research analyst for the University of Florida Foundation in Gainesville.
