Helping Hands: Utah State Students Help in Planting for Mule Deer Winter Habitat

USU Assistant Professor Eric LaMalfa had a lab lesson plan that got spoiled by some bad weather earlier this semester; and coincidently the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources had some work that they needed a bit of help to complete.
A student makes mention of this, a conversation happens, and an adjusted lesson plan (and a bit of serendipity) later, and USU students in LaMalfa’s WILD 2400 course had the chance to take class outside for a day to help plant bitterbrush for winter mule deer habitat.
