  1. Arrive on campus by 8 a.m.
  2. Parking. Click here to view parking maps: https://parking.usu.edu/parking-information/graduation_maps. Shuttle bus routes are indicated on the map and will begin running at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, and 7:30 a.m. on Friday, May 3, until convocation ceremonies conclude. Disability parking is located in the parking lot southeast of the Spectrum on a first-come, first-served basis. A permanent or temporary Utah or other state-issued Disability Placard is required. Enter the parking lot from 1200 East on the south side of the cemetery. Please plan to arrive early as reserved parking is not guaranteed.
  3. Assemble at 8 a.m. Graduate students and undergraduate students will assemble on the Quad. The Faculty and the Platform party will assemble in the Taggart Student Center.  The procession from the Quad to the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m.
  4. Dress appropriately for the day and the occasion. Weather in Logan can be unpredictable, so please be aware of the forecast and plan to dress comfortably under your academic regalia.
  5. Be mindful of your footwear. The processional route requires walking distances of up to half a mile. Some students will be seated in the stands of the Spectrum requiring the use of stairs. We recommend that you choose comfortable footwear and discourage shoes with high or narrow heels, tall platforms or wedges.
  6. Wear the tassel on the left side of your cap.
  7. Hoods. Graduate students will wear their hoods for the General Commencement Ceremony on Thursday morning, May 2. Graduate students will officially be hooded in their College Convocation ceremonies on Thursday, May 2, and Friday, May 3. For College Convocations please fold your hood in half. Lay the color and rounded end towards your body on your left arm. There will be faculty members to hood you at the ceremony.
  8. Accommodations for Persons with Disabilities.  For information on sign language interpreting, accessible parking, and wheelchair access, contact the Disability Resource Center at (435)797-2444 or see their webpage at http://www.usu.edu/drc/. Live captioning of the ceremony will be available in the Spectrum.
