Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center to Perform in Logan on Friday, July 8.

The Caine College of the Arts at USU welcomes The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center to the Daines Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The CMSLC opens the Fry Street Chamber Music Festival concert series.

Performers from CMSLC include Tien-Hsin Cindy Wu, viola; Michael Stephen Brown, piano; Tommaso Lonquich, clarinet; Keith Robinson, cello; Chad Hoopes, violin; Kevin Rivard, horn. Concertgoers will hear a program of Mozart, Schoenfield and Dohnányi.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center’s concert and outreach work is supported by Cache Valley Bank, Linda Daines and the Tanner Charitable Trust Foundation.

The Fry Street Chamber Music Festival, hosted by USU’s resident string quartet, includes private lessons, coaching sessions, masterclasses, small and large chamber music rehearsals, performance opportunities, personal practice time, concerts and recreational activities including kayaking at First Dam in Logan. Students are assigned to a small ensemble and receive repertoire assignments to practice in advance.

Other concerts in the festival feature the Fry Street Quartet and various guest artists.

The second concert features John T. Posadas, viola, and Cahill Smith and Kevin Olson on piano at 7:30 p.m. July 9 in the Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall.

The third concert of the series features Elzbieta Bilicka and Cahill smith on piano and Lauren Hunt on horn, 7:30 p.m. July 12 in the Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall.

The final concert features Elzbieta Bilicka; piano, Cahill Smith; harpsichord; John T. Posadas, viola; Brant Bayless, viola; Braun Khan, bass. USU alumna and student guest artists on the program are Alexandra Tubbs and Ian Parvin, viola, and Matt Huff, cello, 7:30 p.m. July 14 in the Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall.

Festival attendees have the option to purchase tickets for any concert for just $10 or purchase a festival all access pass for $50 that includes priority seating at all concerts and admission to other festival activities, including student performances, music seminars and master classes.
