Build A Better Human?
The British government’s recent decision to approve human cell cloning for medical research raises ethical concerns. Utah State University bioethicist Richard Sherlock says such authorization could lead to future requests to perform human cell cloning for purposes beyond the study of disease. Should research be allowed to explore making a better human, he asks, rather than just curing illness?
