Aggie Marching Band to Perform 'Sounds of the Stadium' Concert

By Kate Stewart |

The Utah State Marching Band performs on Main Street in Logan during the 2023 Homecoming Parade.

LOGAN — The Aggie Marching Band will perform "Sounds of the Stadium" at the Daines Concert Hall at Utah State University from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Nov. 17.

This concert is free and open to the public.

“It's a nice way to look back on the season and recognize the hard work that these students put in from … the beginning of the summer through the football season,” said Lane Weaver, USU director of Athletic Bands.

According to Weaver, concert attendees will enjoy a concert that showcases all of the music the marching band has played this season. They will perform everything from their pregame show to their halftime show, their drum cadences and traditional USU songs.

“It's a lot of fun music,” Weaver said. “There's going to be something that everybody really loves to hear.”

Several recognitions and awards will also be presented at the concert.

Weaver said this concert is a chance for the marching band students to perform in their own venue and highlight the effort they’ve put in this season.

“[Attendees] can expect a chance for the student-musicians to have the spotlight for themselves,” Weaver said.

The Aggie Marching Band hosts students from nearly every college on campus, all within a variety of departments and various majors.

“The marching band is really a great cross section of campus,” Weaver said.

Weaver encourages concert-goers to sit more towards the back of the concert hall, because it will be a very loud performance.

“It's just a really, really fun concert, and people will walk away with smiles,” he said. “I know they will.”
