USU's Cache Community Gleaning Helps Provide Fresh Produce to Those in Need

From around the first week of July until about last week of October, USU’s Cache Community Gleaning program and its teams of volunteers set to work harvesting produce that otherwise might be wasted or left to rot.
The crews typically work two gleaning sessions a week during that time period, at about two or three hours each, and go out to collect fruits and vegetables from local gardens and trees to give to local food security programs — including USU’s own Student Nutrition Access Center.
