Students at Utah State University Eastern have the unique opportunity to participate in deer collaring research to track mule deer through the San Rafael Swell with associate professor Sunshine Brosi and the Department of Wildlife Resources in Utah.

This hands-on training gathers research on the species from habitat preferences to the animals’ health and even potential causes of death, all while students get hands-on training in the field that can translate to a variety of careers, such as wildlife ecology and natural resource management.
