2023 USU Summer Piano Festival Brings Impressive Roster of Pianists to Logan

LOGAN — Utah State University’s Caine College of the Arts will host the 2023 Summer Piano Festival from June 19-24. This year, the event includes eight public concerts and welcomes aspiring pre-college pianists from all over the West.

The USU Piano Program brings world-class performers and teachers to the festival as guest artists. This year’s guests include Eugene Watanabe, Vera Oussetskaia-Watanabe, Josh Wright, Del Parkinson, Jeffrey Shumway and Jeremy Siskind. These pianists are joined by USU piano faculty members Kevin Olson, Caleb Esmond, Emily Ezola, Sasha Kasman Laude, Mayumi Matzen and Cahill Smith.

  • June 20 | noon | Piano Festival Student Recital | St. John’s Episcopal Church | Free admission
  • June 20 | 6:30 p.m. | Josh Wright Guest Artist Recital | Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall
  • June 21 | 6:30 p.m. | Jeremy Siskind Guest Artist Recital | Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall
  • June 22 | 6:30 p.m. | The American Piano Duo | Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall
  • June 23 | noon | Festival Student Recital | Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall | Free admission
  • June 23 | 6:30 p.m. | Festival Competition Finals | Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall
  • June 24 | 10 a.m. | Festival Student Recital and Composition Showcase | Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall | Free admission

All concerts are in the Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall and $10 general admission unless otherwise indicated. All proceeds go to student scholarships. Tickets are available at the door or online at summerpianofest.usu.edu.
