Intramural Registration Opens - Closes Jan. 21

Recreation

Registration for season 1 of spring intramural opens on January 6th and will stay open until the 21st. We'll be offering 5v5 basketball and 6v6 volleyball with co-ed, women's, and men's divisions. Grab your membership online or at the ARC ($25 all-access pass or $15 single sports pass). From there all team sign-ups will be in the Fusion Play app where you pick the day and time that you want to play! Undergrad students, grad students, and faculty/staff are welcome to create teams with an ARC membership!

Welcome Back Cornhole Tournament

Kick off Welcome Back Week with Campus Recreation and our cornhole tournament. No registration is required, just show up solo or in your pair ready to play! Free Nutrition Workshop

Information/Orientation

Join us for our free Nutrition Workshop at the ARC nutrition center. Topics range from discussions on cooking for one, adding more plant proteins to your diet, or meal planning. Presentations are given by USU students where you'll receive great information, recipes, and ways to implement topics into your daily life. Full Moon Snowshoe Hike

Recreation

Come spend an evening snowshoeing under the glow of a full moon. Be sure to dress warm for the cooler temperatures after dark. No snowshoeing experience is necessary, beginners are most welcome. Participants must be prepared for moderate physical activity in a winter environment. Trip cost includes snowshoe rental and transportation.

Intro Backcountry Ski Tour

Recreation

Come grab some backcountry turns with us! We will venture into the Bear River backcountry to seek out snow that you can't get to on a ski lift. Learn some of the basics of backcountry travel and safety. No backcountry experience is required but you must be comfortable riding double blue to black diamond resort terrain. Participants must be prepared for strenuous hiking. Backcountry touring skis or split board with skins are required and available to rent for an additional $10+tax for trip participants. NO SNOWSHOES. Trip cost includes transportation, avalanche beacon, shovel, probe and student leadership.

We are heading up to the Blind Hollow yurt to spend the weekend enjoying the Bear River backcountry. We will explore some of the fantastic riding terrain around Blind Hollow and spend the evenings around the fire in the comforts of the OP's yurt. Prior backcountry experience is recommended and participants must be expert/advanced riders (able to comfortably ride black diamond western resort terrain). Participants must also be in good physical condition and prepared for strenuous uphill hiking. Winter backcountry travel equipment(Alpine Touring, Telemark, Splitboard) is required and available to rent from the OP for a nominal fee. NO SNOWSHOES.

American Red Cross Blood Drive

Pomerelle Night Skiing

Join us for a night of resort skiing or riding at Pomerelle Mountain in Albion, ID. This small but mighty resort offers a variety of different trails for different skill levels and boasts “the deepest snow in Idaho!” Downhill skis or snowboard are required and available to rent from the OP Rental Shop. Trip cost includes transportation, lift ticket, and student leadership.
