Ceremony/Awards/Celebration
The Center for Community Engagement invites students, faculty, and staff to share exemplary community-engaged practice, research, or teaching in our annual poster session. Audience Award Winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to a local business. Submissions are due through the website provided below by 11:59pm Friday, April 11, 2025. Poster session to take place in the TSC Lounges Wednesday, April 16, 2025, 4:00pm-5:00pm.

Health & Wellness Expo: Health Fair, Screenings, and Assessments

This year's theme is 'Nourish Mind, Body, and Soul' - visit vendor booths and participate in health screenings and assessments for a chance to earn prizes! Screenings and assessments include: mental health modules, hearing, blood glucose, blood pressure and heart rate, grip strength, body fat percentage, and carotenoids. The Health and Wellness Expo is sponsored by USU Be Well, Student Health and Wellness, and Campus Recreation.

National African American Read-In
Lecture/Readings | Inclusive Excellence
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is hosting an African American Read-In during the month of February. The African American Read-In is a national effort promoted by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). Dr. Adena Rivera-Dundas and Cree Taylor are coordinating the Read-In here at USU. All students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to join in reading Go Tell it on the Mountain by James Baldwin. Dr. Rivera-Dundas is organizing both a reading schedule and a series of four Reading Group meetings throughout February to delve into discussions about the text.

The Merrill-Cazier library has a hydroponics exhibit with live plants! USU instructor Noah J. Langenfeld will present a lecture, “Hydroponics: Historical Principles and Current Practices,” on Wednesday, February 26th at 1 p.m. in the Library’s New Books Lounge. The talk will trace hydroponics from ancient civilizations, including the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, to its modern applications in precision agriculture and sustainable food production.

You’ll learn practical, actionable tools for creating space for meaningful connections in your relationships—both as a partner, parent, or with yourself. You've applied to college. What's next? USU's Next Step Nights are open-house events designed to help you prepare to start college. Drop in and get connected with resources and support to answer any and all questions by USU staff. You'll complete a series of steps to check off your first required module for New Student Orientation. You just might win free USU Swag and, of course, enjoy some famous Aggie Ice Cream. We recommend arriving at least 1 hour before the end of the event in order to complete the requirements to check-off your first Orientation module.
